2042: Art on the Street will transform Newtown into a vibrant urban art space featuring the work of over 50 artists, including Johnny Romeo, MAYS, Will Coles, Dillon MacEwan, Alan Giddy, Peter Williamson, Token Imagination, Perran Costi and local street art legend Teazer. 	Sydney Children's Festival When: 27 September - 11 October Where: CarriageWorks, 245 Wilson St Eveleigh In the October school holidays, the inaugural Sydney Children's Festival rocks into CarriageWorks and transforms every corner of this immense building into an artistic playground for kids aged 5 - 15 and their families. 	BooHoo films When: Monday 29 September, 2008 Where: Madame Fling Flong's Level 1, 169 King Street, Newtown (Above Soni's) BooHoo's goal is to promote local filmmakers. Holding regular film nights, they've shown over 100 short films since 2006. In 2008 BooHoo films started their own Short Film Competition. 	Tortuga Studios When: 18th September - 6th October Where: Tortuga Studios, 31 Princes Highway, St Peters Tortuga Studios is a collaborative venture between 15 emerging and established designers, artists and makers, and harbours creative talent from all over the world. Located on the fringe of Newtown's cultural and artistic hub, Tortuga Studios is reinventing the collective artistic working space, and proudly supports artists, jewellers, photographers, musicians and a host of film, TV and theatre artisans providing sets, props, special effects, wardrobe and more.
